Menu for July 20, 1969: The Moon Landing
Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed. – Neil Armstrong, the First Man on the Moon
Notes from the Chef
On this day in 1969, the crew of Apollo 11 – Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, Jr. – became the first humans to land on the moon. In honor of this historic achievement, we’re serving up Armstrong’s Apple Chicken, Rings of Saturn roasted vegetables, and a U.F.O. noodle salad with udon noodles, frisee, and olives. One small bite for man…one giant tasty lunch! We hope you enjoy!
